The handicapped Guardian Association was established in 1996, in accordance with the directions of His Highness Shaikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah. H.H. Shaikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi accepted the headship of the association. This association is considered as the first national association all over the Gulf Countries. It was established support the special need children and to give them their rights. It was also established to catalyze them to prove their creativity and superiority.  It got the Official Declaration from the Ministry of Labor according to the ministerial Direction number (450) for the year 1999.
